Os debates aconteceram uma vez ao mês no Centro Cultural Waldemar & Heleieth Saffioti, Chácara Sapucaia em Araraquara/SP, espaço que abriga a Biblioteca Heleieth Saffioti. Foram convidadas como debatedoras diferentes representantes da universidade e da comunidade local com expertise nos temas propostos, mas o grande foco da discussão foi a troca e a construção de conhecimentos a partir das experiências pessoais das participantes. Em cinco encontros abertos à comunidade, contou-se mais de cinquenta participantes e doze convidados. Os debates realizados serão objeto de publicação vinculada a Faculdade de Ciências e Letras da UNESP de Araraquara. Palavras-chave: Mulheres. Mulheres condições sociais. Mulheres identidade. Abstract: The "Cycle of Debates" Social Rights of Women in the Current Society: Experiencias Vividas "is an initiative of the Library of the Faculty of Sciences and Letters (FCLAr) - UNESP Câmpus de Araraquara and the Department of Sociology, with the purpose of presenting the debates current information about the situation of women in Brazilian society, contribute with data and reports on the social rights of women, recall the significance of the struggle for women's social rights in Brazil, and evaluate the violations of these rights today. The debates took place once a month at the Waldemar & Heleieth Saffioti Cultural Center, Chácara Sapucaia in Araraquara / SP, a space that houses the Heleieth Saffioti Library. Different representatives of the university and the local community with expertise in the proposed themes were invited to debate, but the main focus of the �discussion was the exchange and construction of knowledge based on the participants' personal experiences. In five meetings opened to the community, there were more than fifty participants and twelve guests. The debates will be published by the Faculty of Sciences and Letters of UNESP of Araraquara.
