O objetivo do texto é apontar a pertinência da Política de Ação Cultural, a qual proporciona condições necessárias para a mediação da informação e do conhecimento através de ações lúdicas, lazer, diversão e prazer como instrumento para atrair o interesse do seu público alvo a conhecer a biblioteca de forma dinâmica. O estudo ressaltou a importância da biblioteca universitária como agente transmissor do conhecimento, disponibilizando informação, apoiando as atividades e desenvolvendo ações culturais, contribuindo para a melhoria da qualidade de vida do cidadão, demonstrando qual a relação dos usuários com a biblioteca no desenvolvimento cultural da comunidade em que está inserida. Abstract: It addresses the importance of cultural action in university libraries whether in the perspective of formal education or in non-formal or informal education.
