Fomenta a importância de homenagear o Dia Nacional do Livro no Brasil na cidade do Cedro CE, tendo como veículo facilitador, a Biblioteca Pública Municipal Cândido Acrísio da Costa (BPMCAC), enquanto equipamento cultural, contribuindo com a realização de atividades que envolvem a leitura. Dissemina o incentivo ao gosto de ler e contribui para que venha ser, efetivamente, um lugar de projetos que envolvam a leitura. Assim desenvolveu-se a apresentação de projetos de alunos do Curso supracitado; atividades lúdicas e artísticas e exposição de obras regionais, no caso Cordel. Promoveu-se uma ação cultural nas dependências e em frente à BPMCAC, que atraiu a comunidade em geral. Palavras-chave: Ação cultural; Homenagem ao Dia Nacional do Livro (Brasil); Biblioteca pública. Abstract: It reports on the idea developed in the Cultural Action and Reading Mediation Course of the Library Assistant Basic Course as an extension activity of the José Luciano Pimentel Library of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Ceará, Cedro Campus (IFCE-Cedro) . It promotes the importance of honoring the National Book Day in Brazil in the city of Cedro - CE, with the city 's public library as a facilitating vehicle, as a cultural equipment, contributing to the activities that involve reading. It disseminates the incentive to the taste of reading and contributes so that the space becomes, effectively, a place of projects that involve the reading. Thus the presentation of projects of students of the aforementioned Course was developed; play and artistic activities and exhibition of regional works in the Cordel case. A cultural action was promoted in the premises and in front of the Municipal Public Library of the city, which attracted the community in general.
