O presente estudo foi desenvolvido no âmbito da biblioteca da Universidade Federal do Ceará (UFC) campus Quixadá com objetivo analisar como a digitalização (eBook) amenizaria o limitado número de livros físicos interferindo positivamente na expansão de uma biblioteca virtual. demonstrar a relevância do estudo e aplicação de um questionário com professores e alunos tisfação dos usuários da biblioteca em relação à disponibilidade dos livros. Assim, é possível concluir com os resultados encontrados que a digitalização se apresenta como uma solução interessante para a quantidade limitada de volumes físicos que acabam por não contemplar a grande demanda de solicitações por parte dos alunos bem como por ser uma ferramenta de fácil acesso já que pode está disponível em qualquer aparelho eletrônico. Abstract: The term eBook is an abbreviation for electronic book and it appears as a proposal for democratization of reading, especially because its cost varies around 30% to 50% lower than the printed book. The present study was developed within the scope of the library of the Federal University of Ceará (UFC) Quixadá campus with the purpose of analyzing how the eBook would lighten the limited number of physical books interfering positively in the expansion of a virtual library. To do so, the research is classified as an exploratory nature and 1173 �is structured in a bibliographic review in order to demonstrate the relevance of the study and application of a questionnaire with the institution's teachers and students in order to understand the satisfaction of library users in relation to availability of books. Thus, it is possible to conclude from the results found that the digitization presents itself as an interesting solution for the limited amount of physical volumes that end up not to contemplate the great demand of requests on the part of the students as well as being a tool of easy access since can be available on any electronic device.
