Na biblioteca universitária, o profissional da informação deve se preocupar em focar seu trabalho para o usuário e seu assunto de estudo. Analisa essa situação na Biblioteca da Faculdade de Direito da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), sobre uma iniciativa em utilizar as redes sociais online, principalmente, a página institucional da biblioteca no Facebook, como forma de auxiliar os alunos no desenvolvimento das suas habilidades no campo jurídico e acadêmico. Abstract: This is the use of social media in university libraries, as an instrument for the development of information competence, of the graduate in relation to the ambience of the terminology used in the field of Law. In the university library, the information professional should be concerned with focusing his work on the user and his subject matter. It analyzes this situation in the Library of the Faculty of Law of the Federal University Fluminense (UFF), about an initiative to use online social networks, mainly the institutional page of the library on Facebook, as a way to assist students in the development of their skills in the legal and academic field.
