http://repositorio.febab.org.br/files/original/27/3572/SNBU1989_010.pdf 2012f00ad890ad03f777ddb4e90c1b13 PDF Text Text SERViÇO DE CONSULTA EM LINHA A BASES DE DADOS NACIONAIS E ESTRANGEIRAS Heloisa Benetti Schreiner, UFRGS, Biblioteca Central O Serviço de Consulta em Linha a Bases de Dados Nacionais e Estrangeiras tem o objetivo de oferecer a usuários de UFRGS e a usuários externos facilidades de acesso "on-line" a bases de dados nacionais, estrangeiras e estrangeiras internadas. O serviço foi implantado em 1985 pelo Centro de Processamento de Dados e Biblioteca Central, de forma centralizada, tendo sido iniciado o processo de descentralização já no ano seguinte. Atualmente operam na UFRGS terminais em sete bibliotecas: Medicina, Biociências, Educação Física, Engenharia, Física, Química e Biblioteca Central. Para coordenar as ações na área foi criado o Grupo de Trabalho em Acesso e Bases de Dados. Complementando este serviço, estão sendo instaladas na UFRGS bases de dados em CD-ROM nas áreas de Educação Biociências e Agronomia.
