Embrapa Milho e Sorgo. Introdução: O Movimento Acesso Aberto modificou a forma de comunicar a ciência e os repositórios institucionais são um produto desse movimento. A Empresa Brasileira de Pesquisa Agropecuária (Embrapa) lançou em abril de 2011, dois repositórios institucionais, conforme a natureza da informação (ALICE e INFOTECA-e). A produção técnico-científica da Embrapa Milho e Sorgo corresponde a todos os trabalhos de autoria de pesquisadores e analistas, publicados em documentos editados pela própria instituição ou externamente. O objetivo desse trabalho é apresentar a contribuição da biblioteca da Embrapa Milho e Sorgo na formação dos repositórios da Embrapa no período de 2011 a 2015. Relato da experiência: O estudo foi realizado na Biblioteca da Embrapa Milho e Sorgo (Sete Lagoas – MG). Resgatou-se o histórico e metodologia de implementação do repositório. Foram analisadas as coleções de documentos dessa unidade da Embrapa nos repositórios institucionais: Informação Tecnológica em Agricultura (Infoteca-e) e Acesso Livre à Informação Científica da Embrapa (Alice). Considerações Finais: A digitalização de publicações impressas permitiu acesso a obras antes restritas a um espaço físico. Os repositórios institucionais no modelo acesso aberto permitem ampla visibilidade dos seus conteúdos. As análises estatísticas devem ser periodicamente realizadas e novas abordagens devem servir para estudos bibliométricos.
